Press Release - "INDUCTION OF PATRIOTIC CITIZENS 'ABUJA' 2014"

Abuja 2014The Institute for Government Research Leadership Technology (IGRLT) will hold the “induction of patriotic citizens” ceremony at the NICON LUXURY ABUJA on Friday, May 30 2014. The theme for this year’s lecture is: “INFRASTRUCTURE BUILDING & MAINTENANCE”. Professor Akin Akindoyeni mni, OFR, a Professor of Building and Professor of Quantity Surveying is the lead speaker. He is the current President of the Green Building Council of Nigeria and past President of the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria, Vice-Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University and Director-General, National Institute for Policy & Strategic Studies. He is also the Chief Consultant, Akin-Lane Consultants Ltd. Akin was at some point the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the University of Jos and Director of Physical Planning of the National Universities Commission.

He picked his Degrees from Melbourne and New South Wales. He is Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Building, Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Fellow, Society of Construction Industry Arbitrators and Member of Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Australian Institute of Building. The Institute for Government Research& LeadershipTechnology will hold the African Product Forum ‘Lagos’ 2013 at the SHERATON LAGOS HOTEL & TOWERS, IKEJA, NIGERIA. The central purpose of the African Product Forum is to contribute in the expansion and increment of knowledge with the aim ofencouraging businesses by sponsoring trainings, seminars and public enlightenments in respect of product development.

The theme for this year’s lecture is: African Product Acceptability: Breaking Barriers.

Press Release - AFRICAN GOVERNANCE & CORPORATE LEADERSHIP AWARDS “ABUJA” 2013

The Institute for Government Research &Leadership Technology (IGRLT) will hold the African Governance & Corporate Leadership Awards “Abuja” 2013 at the NICON LUXURY ABUJA, NIGERIA. With the theme: “Leadership & Democratic Governance” and Sub-theme: “Quality, Standardisation and Good Governance”. Dr. Mourtada Deme who is the Country/Project Director of the United Nations Development Programme’s Democratic Governance for Development (DGD) Project in Nigeria is expected to speak at the event. Dr. Deme holds his doctorate from the Boston University and his current research interests include but not limited to conflict resolution, democratic governance and accountability.

Dr. Deme is also the Resident Country Director for the International Republican Institute (IRI) in Nigeria and involves in the management of democracy support programmes relating to electoral system reform, political party capacity-building, media human capital development and women’s participation in decision-making process. He is a major contributor in the process of promoting peaceful dialogue among political parties and politicians. In Haiti and Sierra Leone he was involved in assessing the judicial system’s performance and analyzing the electoral planning capacities of local authorities and observed elections respectively. Professor John NdanusaAkanya OON who is the Deputy Chairman-in-Council of the Institute for Government Research & Leadership Technology, immediate past Director-General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) will also speak at the event. Professor Akanya developed, constructed and installed the engineering food test laboratories and the metrology, quality assurance systems, certification and training scheme for ISO 900/14000 series of Standards in Nigeria.

Press Release - Induction of Patriotic Citizens DUBAI 2013

The Institute for Government Research Leadership & Technology (IGRLT) will hold the 2013 “Induction of Patriotic Citizens” ceremony at the South Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Institute is moving the event to Dubai because the Government of Dubai provides a classical case study on how a Government uses the resources of the people for the good of the people, in terms of provision of infrastructure, maintenance of law and order, good governance, etc.                            
The theme for this year’s lecture is: “Technology and Development of Civilisation”. Sub-theme: “Technology & Development of Civilisation: Understanding Issues of Standardisation & Total Quality Management”. Professor Anjaiah Devineni, a Professor of Engineering Technology is the lead speaker at the Dubai event. He graduated in Engineering from the University of Mysore and Mangalore University. He holds degrees in mechanical Engineering, Engineering management and Non-Traditional Machining and picked his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree from Manipal University. He is a Professor in the Department of Engineering Studies in Manipal University, Dubai Campus with over 28 years teaching experience. His current research interests are in manufacturing technologies, experimental research, and quality improvement using Total Quality Management tools. He will be speaking on the subject: Technology and Development of Civilisation”.

The Institute for Government Research Leadership & Technology (IGRLT) will hold the African Product Forum Porthacourt 2012 at the HOTEL PRESIDENTIAL PORTHARCOURT, NIGERIA. African Product Forum Lagos 2011
Managing products quality was the focal point when recently, the Institute for Government Research and Leadership Technology (IGRLT) organized lectures on African Products at Sheraton Lagos Hotel & Towers. It was a capacity building platform for Africans including Nigerian companies where entrepreneurs exhibited their quality products and services and those with outstanding performances were recognized.
